What is “Finca Lobo”? Previously the Finca Lobo was a normal rented house with a large plot of land. Since then, it has become a little oasis within a dry and sandy landscape that is a bit solitary but
absolutely comfortable.
One after another the first animals came to the Finca Lobo. Homeless dogs and cats have since found a new home there.
Finca Lobo has grown and developed into a refuge for homeless dogs and the plot has since needed to be rebuilt to meet the needs. An additional enclosure has been built and the whole plot
(approx 5.000 sq. m.) has been securely fenced. Now the dogs can walk freely around the plot, play together and decide whether they want to lie in the sun or seek the shade.
Dogs from the “perrera’s” in the south of the island, or injured and abandoned dogs find a safe haven there and are given a medical check by our vet. The puppies at Finca Lobo need special attention.
Often they need 24hr care. Due to the fact they are in contact with the adult dogs, the puppies quickly learn to be sociable.
Once the dogs have been checked over, we try to find new homes for them where they can have a happy life.
